Shot of a sunrise while on the ship. (Halfed in size of course for faster loading)
Some reason, the coulds kept covering the sun in the mornings, I never could get a better shot of a close up sunrise. -.-*

You were lucky that the clouds kept blocking the sun. It's not worth losing your eyesight because you looked at a sun through your magnified camera lens. Believe me. I've done it a couple of times and regretted it.
But WOW! What colors! It's as if there's something majestic and awesome behind that cloud, like the essence of God. I love the blending of the colors throughout the sky from the crisp golden hue of the lower horizon to the brilliant late afternoon blue in the upper sky. The way you captured a large pillar of cloud right in the middle of the frame helped balance this shot which would have otherwise been hurt a little bit if the cloud pillar had been further to the left or the right. Perfect timing! The sun rays also look like brilliant angel wings radiating from behind the cloud.
Water's a little grainy, but the sun is the main center of interest. You had to sacrifice one element for another, and it paid off. Awesome shot!
